Lucky Lake is spring fed, clean, and great for swimming. Life jackets are available on site, however we recommend you bring your own. Our visitors enjoy canoeing and kayaking. There are 4 canoes, 2 peddle boats and 3 kayaks available for guests to use. Has a shallow sandy beach area. Boat dock/tie-off is available, space may be limited for overnight docking, however there is plenty of parking for boat and/or trailers. We respectfully request no bathing with soap/shampoo in the lake.
No lifeguard on site.
There are two boat launches on this property. Small motor boats are recommended to allow a quiet, respectful stay for all visitors. Many of our visitors enjoy fishing for bass and lake trout. There are several lakes nearby with a variety of species of fish. Find out more through The Ministry of Natural Resources. Life jackets on site, however we recommend you bring your own as we may not be able to provide the correct flotation device by weight. *You must obtain a fishing licence if you plan to fish. Fishing gear not provided.
Pets are welcome, one per cottage, must be leashed at all times when walking the grounds, and please crate your pet when left alone in the cottages to prevent damage to screen doors and windows. You have the ability to exercise your pet on-leash on the property or off-leash at the public boat launch, approximately 1km away, as well as surrounding trails.
All beds are provided with a bottom sheet, changed after each visitor. Pillows with pillow slips and blankets are provided.
Please bring your own top sheet or full set, and/or sleeping bag if desired.
Each cottage is surface sanitized with bleach/disinfectant after each visitor. Full housekeeping provided at the end of your stay, please leave as tidy as possible. General household garbage and recyclables must be placed in clear bags—clear bags are provided.
WE RECYCLE
All cottages have refrigerators, stove top and oven, as well as microwave, coffee maker, kettle, a fully equipped kitchen. All cottages have a wood stove heat source, wood provided for indoor heat only. Fire wood can be purchased at various locations in Northbrook and Plevna for the fire pit.
All cottages are on a well system, not tested for drinking (signs posted). Please bring your own drinking water. Tap water can be used for cooking when boiled or when washing food items.
All cottages are on septic systems except the Log Cabin. This tiny house has a rustic feel, with no running water or bath. The public shower room is available to guests. An Out House is only steps away, tucked within the tall pines.
Absolutely NO smoking inside the cottages at any time.
A Crown Land road pass is required for all vehicles, including all terrain, that wish to travel on North Frontenac park roads. A pass is not required when staying at Lucky Lake Cottages. Inquire for more information or visit www.northfrontenac.com
